Roster Guide
Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters
Jujutsu Shenanigans currently features 27 known characters, of which 14 have complete movesets with full Awakening forms — from Honored One and Vessel at launch to the latest complete fighter, Defense Attorney. The rest are Early Access characters still in development.
How Many Characters Are There?
The in-game character list — opened from the top-left corner of the screen — shows 27 known fighters, though some are only playable after certain requirements are fulfilled. The official Trello board tracks 32 character cards, a slightly different number because it counts Awakening forms as separate cards for the same fighter. Both numbers are correct; they just measure differently.
Of those 27, only 14 are marked complete: their full base moveset, Special, and Awakening form are in the game and stable. The remaining characters are Early Access — they can be picked and played, but their kits are still being finished and can change without notice.

Each complete character has a standard kit of four skills plus a Special, and an Awakening that replaces or extends it. This list follows the Fandom wiki and the official Trello board; every character below is confirmed in both sources:

Characters by Release Timeline
Characters have been added continuously since launch: Honored One and Vessel shipped with V1.00, and each major update completed another fighter. The timeline from the Fandom wiki shows Restless Gambler (V1.00–V1.15), Ten Shadows (V1.15–V1.29), Mahoraga (V1.24–V1.29), Perfection (V1.23–V1.40), Blood Manipulator (V1.39–V1.42), Switcher (V1.42–V1.49), and Defense Attorney (V1.50–V1.57.1) — each range covering the period from that character’s first appearance to its completed Awakening.
Version numbers matter for guides: an input or finisher documented at V1.40 may behave differently at V1.78. Always check the current version signal before trusting an older combo or moveset table.
Early Access Characters
The current Early Access pool is led by Register (Reggie Star) and Disaster Plants (Hanami), both highlighted in the v1.78 Early Access update. These characters are playable but incomplete, and their movesets can be reworked at any time.
A recent character-classification video also segments additional fighters — Mechamaru, Nanami, Locust Guy, Charles, Haruta and Mei Mei — meaning these characters exist in the game or are close to release. Treat their exact status as 待确认 until the official Trello marks them complete.
How to Unlock Characters
Not every character is available from the start: the in-game list notes that some fighters are only playable after certain requirements are fulfilled. The specific unlock conditions are 待确认 — they have not been verified from an official source in this research pass, so check the character’s Trello card or test the roster screen in-game before assuming a character is free.
For competitive picks, pair this list with the current tier list — complete characters are usually tournament-viable, while Early Access fighters carry more risk because their kits can still change under you.
